Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our homecare facility team. As a Homecare Facility Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialized rehabilitative care to clients within the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise in physical therapy techniques and dedication to improving mobility, function, and quality of life will contribute to the well-being and independence of our clients in a homecare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical abilities, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, client goals, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and modalities to improve clients’ mobility, strength, balance, and flexibility.
- Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to address specific impairments and promote optimal recovery.
- Educate clients and their caregivers on proper body mechanics, safe movement techniques, and strategies for preventing injury and improving overall physical function.
- Monitor clients’ progress throughout the course of treatment, adjusting treatment plans as needed to maximize outcomes and address barriers to recovery.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
- Utilize assistive devices and adaptive equipment to facilitate independence and improve clients’ ability to perform activities of daily living.
- Document all clinical assessments, treatment interventions, and progress notes accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills, promote best practices, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the homecare facility.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure or registration as a Physiotherapist in the state or region of employment.
- Demonstrated experience in providing physiotherapy services to clients across the lifespan, including adults and older adults.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation principles and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to promoting independence, function, and quality of life for clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in conducting functional assessments, gait analysis, and outcome measures to evaluate treatment effectiveness and guide clinical decision-making.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant documentation tools.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education in physiotherapy best practices, emerging treatment modalities, and relevant
- Hold a IHCAE Certificate
